Executive Vice President,Dr. Wu Tao, led a team to participate in the 25th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education

From October 31 to November 2, the 25th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education, sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange, was grandly held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Invited by China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education, our university was led by Executive Vice President Wu Tao, Vice President Xu Fei, Assistant President Tian Ye, all members of the teacher of the International Office and teachers' representatives of secondary schools in a group of nine people to attend the conference.

Under the theme of Education for All, the Unknown and the Future, this year's conference included more than 100 bilateral and multilateral activities, such as plenary sessions, parallel forums, cooperation talks and educational exhibitions, which brought together more than 1,000 colleges and universities and educational institutions from more than 60 countries and regions around the world, and the number of offline visitors reached more than 65,000 people. Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic League of China, and President of the European and American Students' Association (China Scholarly Exchange Association), attended the conference and delivered an opening speech. Mr. Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education, delivered a video message. Mr. Liu Limin, President of China Education Association for International Exchange, presided over the opening ceremony. Minister Huai pointed out that China has always insisted on opening up education to the outside world and actively sharing quality educational resources with the world. Promoting the world's sustainable development and adapting to global changes requires empowering individuals, reshaping society and leading the future through education. He initiated to promote universal sharing of resources on a larger scale, academic research and international cooperation on a higher quality, and humanistic exchanges on a deeper level.

As a member of the university representatives, during the conference, the participants combined their positions and participated in the EduAI Forum: Exploring the Future of Artificial Intelligence in EducationForum on International Exchanges and Cooperation among Private Colleges and UniversitiesSeminar on Exploring the Practice of Local Internationalization of InstitutionsSeminar on Innovation of Internationalization of Universities under the Strategy of Education, Science and Technology, and TalentsTeachers’ Digital Literacy DevelopmentHigher Education Paradigm of Discipline Integration, and More than 10 high-quality academic forums, such as Change and Practice of Higher Education Paradigm through Discipline Integration” and Future-oriented Study Abroad Education, were held to actively listen to the sharing of industry experience. In addition, we have held discussions with experts and colleagues in the field of higher education from all over the country on the hot topics of international exchanges and cooperation in education, and explored ideas for the university to participate in the global education change. In addition, the university also made efforts to broaden international exchange channels at the International Education Exhibition, discussing with nearly 50 domestic and foreign institutions and organizations from France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Russia, Ireland, South Korea and other official pavilions on international exchange and cooperation such as teacher-student exchanges and international student enrollment, thus contributing to the university's high-quality development in an all-round way.

In order to enhance students' understanding and knowledge of overseas universities, the International Office also organized 55 students to come to the exhibition by bus. Students had face-to-face exchanges with representatives of universities and colleges from all over the world, and learned about the admission requirements, admission standards and fees of overseas universities. In the process, students not only improved their English speaking skills, but also improved their self-confidence and communication skills, and more importantly, they had a clearer academic planning and action goals.
