On October 22, 2024, the “Chinese Bridge” delegation of foreign principals visited Gengdan Institute.

  Fifty principals and education officials from five countries—Egypt, Belarus, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Nepal—were warmly received by Assistant President Tian Ye, Dean of the School of Humanities Li Jie, the entire staff of the International Office, teachers from the Department of Chinese International Education in the School of Humanities, and student volunteers. To give the visiting principals a direct and lasting impression of Gengdan Institute, the delegation was guided by faculty and students through various locations on campus, including the statue of martyr Gengdan, the library, teaching areas, gymnasium, and dining hall. At each stop, the visitors took photos and expressed their admiration. They were impressed by the modern facilities and beautiful environment that provide students with excellent study and living conditions, showcasing the school’s strength in international education.

 At the welcome ceremony, Assistant President Tian Ye extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of Gengdan Institute and gave a detailed introduction to the school’s overview and its commitment to international education. He emphasized that Gengdan Institute is dedicated to offering students an international learning experience and actively engages in external exchanges and collaborations, having established partnerships with 124 universities across 36 countries and regions. He expressed eagerness to explore further points of collaboration with the visiting universities, welcoming their faculty and students to Gengdan for study and exchange.

  On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Bimala Ghimire, a secondary school teacher from L.R.I. International School in Nepal, gave a speech expressing sincere gratitude for Gengdan Institute hospitality and high regard for its campus facilities and international development. She looked forward to future exchanges that would strengthen ties and foster friendship between students and teachers from both countries.

  Ms. Zhou Xiaomei, Director of the Belt and Road Base Department of the Beijing International Chinese College, provided background on the "Chinese Bridge" project, hoping that this exchange would deepen the foreign representatives' understanding of Gengdan Institute, foster educational cooperation, and make "Chinese Bridge" a true bridge of exchange, cooperation, and friendship. During the free exchange session, foreign principals expressed their interest in further collaboration with Gengdan Institute in areas such as language teaching, faculty and student exchanges, and joint educational programs. At the end of the meeting, principals from 16 institutions signed cooperation agreements with Gengdan Institute and took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
